commonwealth games - 2022

 

The commonwealth games,2022 will be organized in Birmingham in the England. these games will be played from 28th July to 8th August .it will be 22th  edition of the commonwealth games in which 72 teams of 56 countries will compete with each other. the mascot of these games will be  Perry the Bull .These games are  organized at a time period of 4 years like the Olympics . the first commonwealth games were held in Hamilton in the Canada in 1930 however India had participated first time in 1934.In the commonwealth games 2022 ,19 games will be played in which cricket will be played ever first time .this time only women will play cricket .the total number of Indian athletes are 215 at this time .The India's Rashid Anwar  has won India's first commonwealth Medal  in wrestling .the first Indian gold medalist was Milkha Singh who won gold medal in athlete in 1958.

In 2010 India held the host country of commonwealth games in New Delhi . in These games India won 101 medals in which 38 were gold medals  .SPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA  has started the Campagin #CREATE4INDIA  to encourage the athletes
