What is 'G20'
The Alphanumeric G20 represents a group or club of 20 world largest Economies, that dominate 85% of global GDP and 75 % share in world trade.
The G-20 was installed in 1999 to provide a forum for discussion and dialogue consisting of Economic Cooperation or reforms among the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors after the Asian financial crisis. over time, it expanded its roots to the level of meetings among the Heads of state and boosted its relevance.
The first official summit of G 20 was hosted by the USA in the shadow of the 2008 financial crisis. G20 is composed of 19 countries and the European Union [ group of 27 European countries ].
It is a group dedicated to the discussion of topics related to international and global affairs, Economic reforms, climate change, health, sustainable development, Technology and security Etc.

CURRENT CHAIR OF 'G20'
In 2023, India is the current chair of the G20 summit. India's capital New Delhi will host state heads meeting under the G20 summit scheduled from 8 to 10 September. The meeting will be held in the latest inaugurated BHARAT MANDAPAM, in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Theme Of G20 Summit 2023
The theme of the G20 Summit is inspired by the Indian scriptures that is - Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - which refers to one earth, one family, one future.
